Vinataba IMEX cooperates with most of the world-leading companies in tobacco industry such as: B.A.T., Philip Morris, Japan Tobacco International, Imperial Tobacco, CNTC, Alliance One, Universal, Celanese, Eastman Chemical, Exxon Mobil, PDM, Hauni, Focke, GD etc. Its annual tonover is about USD50 million of imports and USD55 million of exports.

IMPORTS

Vietnam tobacco industry has over the years made intensive investments in modernizing technology and increasing our production capacity in all fields with a view to improving product quality. A great number of new machinery and equipment have been imported and put to use in many factories in Vietnam. Most of the machinery has been imported by Vinataba IMEX. Of particular note is the fact that Vinataba IMEX has imported the first tobacco threshing plant into Vietnam since the early 90’s. Vinataba IMEX annually imports approximately 2,000 tons of quality tobacco from various coutries for supply to domestic factories.

To assure a leading role in this area of business, Vinataba IMEX has not operated merely as an importer, but also as a consultant to the industry, which is highly regarded by domestic manufacturers. With a team of experienced experts in tobacco machinery, Vinataba IMEX has given active support to other factories in the selection of equipment, production technology and types of materials. Knowledge of Vietnam legal and business environment, furthermore, has helped us to give useful advices concerning legal aspects of import procedures to the manufacturers.

Vinataba IMEX has built strong co-operative relationships with many leading manufacturers of tobacco machinery in the world such as Hauni, Comas, G.D, Molins, ITM, Focke, CTMC... We also have good and long-lasting relations with other prestigious manufacturers and suppliers of tobacco materials in the world.

EXPORTS

There are many regions in Vietnam suitable for tobacco growing, with current areas under cultivation taking up to 40.000 heactares. Since the early 90s, we have gradually established ourselves as an export base for leaf tobacco through co-operative partnership with such leading tobacco merchant companies as Alliance One, Universal. Quality of our leaf tobacco products is highly rated by our customers.

In 1999, Vinataba IMEX began to export pipe tobacco to Easten European markets and in 2000 Vinataba IMEX began to export cigarettes produced in 12 tobacco companies belong to Vinataba group to Africa, Middle East, South America and Asia markets with a very competitive price.
